First true 'play date'

Last night, we went over to see the Green's. This was the first time that Evan and Claire really got to play. As you can see, Claire is dominant at the moment- I mean, she can sit up on her own and crawl. But soon enough, Evan will be playing with the big kids. They are so adorable, and so much fun to watch.

July 4th in Lubbock

I know it has been forever since I wrote last. I am obviously not that great at keeping up with stuff like this. Anyhoo- we went to Lubbock for the July 4th weekend, and we had a great trip. It was Evan's first plane ride, and he did fantastic. We pretty much spent the weekend shopping and hanging out on the amazing porch at my grandparents' house. I was nice in the shade, with a cool breeze. Evan liked it so much that he slept out there, and would cry pretty much anytime we brought him inside. But, he loved it. We were able to visit with family and relax with no schedule- that was the best part. It was a great trip.

Rollin' rollin' rollin'- keep that baby rollin'

Hey all,
Well, Evan has now figured out that he can get from his back to stomach by rolling. His first little roll was on Monday, but today he figured out that he can roll, with his arms in the right place, and repeat the action. Quite impressive. Of course, he will not do his tricks on cue- much like our cat beast, but eventually someone else will see him. It has been a pretty low-key week at the Bleakley house. Tomorrow we will get to see Kelli and Irelyn, and Crystal will be coming for a shourt visit. We are exited. So, until another day... have a good one.

Father's Day and more

This year was Page's 1st Father's Day, of course, so Evan and I decided to give him a fun gift of some pictures of us. He loved them. For the week before that, Page had the awesome opportunity to go to the first 2 rounds of the US Open in San Diego. He went with a few guys from Faith, and they had a fantastic time. Evan has had 2 milestone moments this week. The day Page got back to Texas was Father's day, and it was Evan's first time to go swimming. He seemed to like it a lot. The second one was on Monday- we officially moved Evan to his own room. He now takes all of his naps in there, and sleeps there every night. I think the transition was harder on me than it was on him. But, we have all adjusted, and he is loving his room now. Thankfully, he is like Page and does not really care where he sleeps- just loves to sleep. Page's sister Tonya and her 3 kids are here this week from California. They are so much fun, and they love Evan. They can keep him entertained much better than I can. It is great to see how much they have grown since last year. It has been an eventful week but it has been a great start to the summer.

It has been a while...

Well,
I know it has been a while since our last post. I had to go back to work for 3 weeks, so that took most of my time. Since then, Evan has turned 2 months old and I had my first Mother's Day.
We had his 2 month appointment last week, and he measured 12 lbs 11 oz, and was 24.5 inches long. He is very long for his age. He is smiling and laughing more and more everyday. He is starting to realize that he controls his hands, and is grabbing for things. He also watches himself in the mirror and just laughs and talks to himself. He gets cuter and cuter every single day. God has blessed us so much with this little guy. We are so thankful and we are completely in love with him. I mean- look at him, you know you would just stare at him and hold him all day if you had the chance.
