Our friends Matthew and Jes went out for a date night last week, and we were able to keep Claire while they were gone. The kids have gotten to be friends over the last few months. It was absolutely adorable when I came in from the kitchen and they were sharing his chair. They were watching a cartoon and eating snacks.
Claire was even sweet enough to feed Evan some of her snacks. He would eat them and laugh histerically. It was great.
Here are some cute smiles from the kiddos.
After snacks, we went outside to play with our water table. They had a great time. They splashed each other and poured water all over the place. The yard ended up looking more like a bog than anything else. It was great. During cleanup, I had a cute photo op- diapers and crocs, doesn't get much better than that. :)

Up, up and Away!!
Last Wednesday, Page called from work and suggested that we take a picnic dinner & go out to our tiny airport in McKinney so Evan could watch the airplanes. (He loves airplanes!) It was a lot of fun. We only saw 4 planes take off, but with each one, Evan and Page would run over to the fence to watch. Evan said 'Oh, wow!!' each time he saw the planes. He also pointed out several trucks and played with rocks on the ground. It was a fun little outing, and I think Evan really enjoyed it.
Sprinkles...
A random road trip... Last week Katie, Whitney, Jes & I (with Evan and Claire in tow) decided to go down to Dallas and visit the cupcake shop called Sprinkles. We had a car-full, in fact Whit had to jump seats so that there was a place to sit. We went, had a few cupcakes, and looked around at a few stores on the block. It was fun, a long drive, but fun.
Claire was posing like a model for the camera- I think she gets some practice @ home!
Evan, with the typical male response to a girly outing... oh brother!
The whole adult crew. We had a great time!

Yay for chairs!!
Evan has been sitting on a plastic chair that we borrowed from the Ameys. He loved it so much that we figured it was time to get a comfy chair that he can sit in and watch a show or just play in. So, we got one from Pottery Barn- it was on sale which was nice. Needless to say, he is in love. I think he probably sits in it a minimum of 50 times a day. Not all of those are while watching a video- I promise I am a good Mom- it just happened that these are the shots we captured. :) Here is a picture of Evan watching Baby Einstein (his fave movies) before the chair and after.
Here are some other random moments with chairs...
This is right after we got the chair and he did not want to get out of it.
Here he is standing in front of his chair while watching a video- kinda random.
And here, he wanted to stay up so bad, and finish that same video, but he needed a little help from the recliner to keep his head and cup in position to continue. We did put him to bed- after getting the snapshot of course...
Random bits...
The week before school was out, Evan and Zach had a chance to play with our water table that we have in the backyard. Evan loved splashing and making everything get soaked. Zach on the other hand liked to carry around the toys and stay out of the water. Evan did not give him much choice, however. It was a lot of fun. This is one of our favorite toys. And again, Evan loves his sunglasses. :)

Memorial Day
We had a great day at the lake. Page has a friend from work, Jason- and he and his wife invited us to spend the day with them and some other friends at Lake Arlington. I had no idea there was a lake there, but it was pretty nice. The house we were visiting was fantastic, and the people who owned it were more than generous. It was a blessing. Here are some shots of the day.
Evan actually likes his sunglasses. :)
